What The Frack Is Going On With Fracking?
So I am an avid listener to the “No Agenda Podcast” which I highly recommend anyone who is sick of the “lame stream” media check out and give it a listen. Adam Curry is one of the two hosts of the podcast and he often mentions “fracking” and flammable water throughout the United States. I recently started hearing it in other circles on the interwebs and started to do some investigation. Here are some interesting tidbits I found..
(NaturalNews) Oil and gas companies are engaged in fracking, a gas drilling process hailed as an economy booster, job creator and greener energy source. However, fracking has propelled hundreds of millions of gallons of hazardous, carcinogenic and radioactive chemicals into gas wells in 13 states, according to the new House and Energy Commerce Committee report covered in the New York Times (http://nyti.ms/lDzSYo).
So what is the process?
“Fracking” is the hydraulic fracturing process that involves injecting liquids into shale deposits deep underground; the intent is hydraulically fracture rock formations and release oil and gas found there. The process is accompanied by “horizontal drilling,” a relatively new process that enables drillers to get to shale deposits in a direction other than straight down from the drilling rig.
I really enjoyed a YouTube video put together by “Morning Mayan” and her thoughts about discovering this process for creating energy:
All I know is, today when I get home I am definitely going to turn my faucet on with a match and see if this shit has spread to my house.
